Graphic Design Manager is responsible for project management and supervision of a five member team providing design solutions for high profile clients including Sheetz, Royal Farms, Buc-ee’s and Spinx. Responsible for engaging clients to understand business needs and presenting them with the correct suite of services including websites, social media, and promotional collateral. The Graphic Design Manager ensures the team works closely with the client and internal departments.

Responsible for managing team members including hiring and off boarding, professional development, scheduling, and task assignments. Learning plans are developed for each individual to increase technical skills and to prepare the team member for advancement in the company. Encourage team members to work outside given roles and explore their creativity.

Achieved 90% reduction of the customer request queue by developing and implementing the role of dispatcher to review, triage and delegate calls. This has worked well over the last year.

​Graphic Design Manager Day to Day
-
Manager of three to five direct reports since January 2022. This team creates both the decals and on screen graphics for self-service car wash pay station kiosks. Requests go beyond the scope of the daily job description with the creation of logos, characters, branding, voice overs, and collaborations with other businesses under the Vehicle Wash Solutions umbrella. Work is distributed to the team based on project priority, and the skill level and work load of each team member.

Work directly with the Marketing Director to ensure staff is staying on task, projects are being delivered on time, and to discuss appropriate candidates for collaborations with The Agency, the in house Marketing Agency.

Create learning plans to facilitate employees’ professional development, and present the tools needed to help them succeed in their next roles in the company.

Look for opportunities for team members to enhance their skill set and work outside of their given roles, by embracing their creative and multifaceted qualities. Goals and objectives are made for personal and team development to maintain motivation and success and reviewed yearly.

Create plans to make sure that benchmarks are being met, without sacrificing quality of work. Such plans have resulted in a 90% reduction of calls in the Graphics Request queue which has been continuously maintained. Call response time has also been shortened from a week or more, to less than a day.

Coordinate between Production Warehouse and Shipping Department to ensure printed materials are completed and shipped on time, or early, to meet the company’s Order to Delivery timeline.

Implemented tracking sheets to guarantee clear communication between departments of the progress of individual projects. Projects are no longer overlooked or overdue.

Work directly with Production Managers and individual work cells to make sure that items needed from the Customer Graphics team are given in a timely manner so as to not create pressure situations for other departments.

Awarded and recognized for scrutinizing order details resulting in savings of thousands of dollars and maintaining the integrity and image of the company.

Understanding and providing customer solutions and issue resolutions by being the single point of contact. Acting as liaison between the customer and all departments until resolution, reducing frustration on the customer’s part and also on the part of company employees who do not get misdirected calls.

Manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and keep team on track. Project lead times have been significantly reduced from six to eight weeks, to at times days. Diligent project tracking and interdepartmental communication is instrumental in keeping everything running smoothly and efficiently. Consistently cross checking multiple platforms to ensure all information on the work order is complete and correct so that time and labor costs are not wasted.

Continuously working with other departments to improve work flow processes and communication. Since timelines have been tightened it necessitates the need to review and overhaul work flow. Working with Inside Sales team to receive customer contact information when a sale is first received and not when the sale information is complete, which can take over a month. In this time the Customer Graphics Team can make initial contact with the customer, request art assets, branding guides, and offer the customer services they may not have yet, or knew that we offered. This also allows us to introduce The Agency for their marketing needs, such as websites, promotional printed materials, and social media.

Regularly work with other corporations nationally and internationally and their Marketing Departments. These include major convenience store chains such as Royal Farms, Sheetz, and Spinx. As well as multi-site car washes like Shammy Shine, Breeze Thru, Benny’s Express, and Take 5. Will also guide new owners of stand alone car wash sites through the process and help them create a visually pleasing and cohesive look throughout their car wash site.

Responsible for working with talent acquisition team to review resumes, then set up and interview job candidates. Interviews have been done through video, as well as in person, and have resulted in a strong staff with the ability to handle a fast paced environment. The team has the ability to easily adapt to increases in work load. Yearly reviews are written and conducted for each individual and are thoughtfully written and discussed.

Work with The Agency, to send them leads on prospective clients, as well as provide any necessary information, art assets or branding. Resulting in new and continuing revenue for the Marketing Department.

Interim Print Room Manager for the last year and half, working in a different office, while managing current team. Was responsible for the research and purchase of both a new printer and plotter. This has decreased printing time by at least 50%, and with the purchase of the plotter, we no longer need to stop the printing process to cut the printed materials. Must maintain inventory for print room supplies, and train new employees on the process and maintenance of the equipment, oversee their work and their schedule.

Worked with the Director of Support to overhaul HelpDesk process which resulted in more proficient tracking of the project and client information. Proof approvals and revisions were also integrated into this process.

Redesign of Self Service Pay Station Kiosk – A two fold, long term project working on a team of thress to create a new user interface for a current product that has not been updated for decades. Along with a new UX|UI design for the product itself, is the creation of the interface for the custom design and editing platform.

eLearning for the onboarding and training of new hires of the Customer Graphics team. Working with the Audio Visual Manager to create an eLearning segment to introduce the employee to the business, department and their job requirements. Will serve as a training module as well as a reference resource.
